Membership fees are low and pay for verification and other work that starts as soon as you join. This policy explains when we refund them.
Full refund
- If verification does not succeed. If we cannot verify your academic identity, your membership is not activated and your fee is refunded in full.
- Before activation. If you change your mind before your membership is activated, write to us and we will refund your fee in full.
- Duplicate or mistaken payments are refunded in full.
After activation
Once your membership is activated and your membership ID is issued, the fee is not refundable, except where required by law.
Removal for breach
If membership is ended because of a breach of the Membership Terms or Integrity Policy, no refund is due.
How refunds are paid
Refunds are made to the original payment method, usually within 7 to 10 working days of approval. Timing after that depends on your bank or payment provider.
