Membership

Three categories, one flat annual fee, and an inaugural offer for founding members.

CollabCite has three membership categories, so students can take part while the platform stays a serious network for academicians. All members must be 18 or older and verified.

Before you joinCollabCite is a collaboration platform, not a journal directory. Membership gives you verified co-authors, collaboration tools, curated opportunities by email and free journal guides. It does not include finding or guaranteeing a publication outlet.

Rules for student members

  • Verification: a college ID card or institutional email, plus confirmation of age 18 or above.
  • Authorship agreement: required whenever a student joins a project, so their contribution is formally credited.
  • Clear labels: student profiles carry a visible category badge, so everyone knows who they are working with.
  • Posting limit: Student Associates may keep only a limited number of open collaboration calls at a time.
  • Upgrade path: members move to the next category when they enrol in a master’s or PhD programme, keeping their membership ID and history.

Where your fee goes

Membership fees fund member verification, data handling and privacy compliance, journal checks, curating opportunities, and CollabCite’s own research activity. There are no ads and we never sell member data.

Institutional plans

Institutional plans, where a college or university pays for all its faculty and students, will follow. If your institution is interested, please contact us.
